Bottle beer
At Nørrebro Bryghus and in a number of super markets around the country you find our most popular beer on 60 cl. bottles brewed at our recently opened bottle brewery west of Copenhagen.
The varieties are:
New York Lager - A traditional, American pre-prohibition lager. Full bodied, dark golden colour with 5.2 % ABV. Intensely malty with notes of caramel, pronounced bitterness and a floral aroma of North American Cascade hops.
Ravnsborg Rød - A version of the classic British Amber or Red Ale. Reddish brown, smooth, round and full bodied with 5.5 % ABV. Dense malt character mixed with intense fruity and aromatic aromas. The taste is dominated by the fruitiness supplemented by spicy notes of Amarillo hops. Soft bitterness and a slightly sweet, creamy finish.
Bombay Pale Ale - Nørrebro Bryghus’ interpretation of the classic India Pale Ale. A powerful beer brewed exclusively from English Marris Otter malt which gives a deep and an intense malt character. Plenty of fruity ale aromas supplemented by bold notes of classical English aroma hops added after fermentation (dry hopping). Big body, high bitterness and some sweetness characterize this golden 6.5 % ABV beer.
Kings County Brown Ale – Nørrebro Bryghus´ first guest brew. A classic American brown ale with an alcohol percent of 5.5% which is modelled after the Brooklyn Brown ale made famous by master brewer Garrett Oliver. It is a dark, medium body, fruity ale with the scent and taste of nuts, chocolate and dried fruits.
Skärgaards Porter – A real porter, 6.0 % alcohol. This is our second Nordic guest brew created with Lasse Ericsson of Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri south of Stockholm, Sweden. The beer is top fermented and honey is added before fermentation, the result being a smooth and creamy black porter with gentle chocolate, coffee and nut aromas. The taste is dry, light and elegant with liquorice and dried fruit being the primary flavours. Bitterness is slight and liquorice will linger on the palate.
Påske Bock – A full bodied spring beer 7.0 % ABV. Brewed in the original Bock tradition, the original starting point for Danish Easter beer. Copper golden colour with a discreet aroma of dark malts and hops. The taste is round and sweet with a hint of caramel and raisins. Average bitterness and aftertaste.

La Granja Stout - This 7,5 % ABV beer is based on an English Sweet Stout. Our version has been added a cold water extract of organic, Mexican, single estate espresso coffee beans. The result is a discreet but delicate coffee aroma blending in with the roasted aromas from the dark malts and the other spicy stout aromas. The taste is slightly sweet, medium bodied with a balanced bitterness and after palate.
North Bridge Extreme, is a present from the brewers to Brew master Anders on the first anniversary of Nørrebro Bryghus. Inspired by the southwest Californian triple IPA’s, it is brewed with British ale malts, adjusted with several colour malts and spiced with extreme amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale (9,5 % ABV) with a prominent hop aroma. Should be enjoyed as the final beer of the evening – Your taste buds can’t be used after drinking this ale!
Organic Stuykman Wit - Inspired by the traditional Belgian Wit bier. Our version is brewed with 50 % organic Danish wheat, and it holds 5,3 % ABV. Good body with some sweetness and quite spicy aroma – partly from the added coriander seed and Curacao (orange peel). The light acidity and low bitterness makes this unfiltered beer very refreshing and perfect for those who do not prefer the heavier and more bitter beer styles.
Globe Ale – brewed with an active global environmental forethought. Every bottle of beer emits 940 g of CO2, which has been removed from the environment by buying and destroying CO2 quotas. We are actively reducing our own environmental impact as well – please visit our website! Globe Ale is an very fruit like organic ale, filtered, light in both colour and in flavour, 4,8 % VOL. – an environmentally sound treat. Enjoy Globe Ale with lighter foods such as salads, fish and poultry.
Helene Heather – is a mellow and very aromatic ale, 5,5 % vol. It has been inspired by an ancient Scottish pre-hop beer style and is a guest brew from Will Meyers from the Cambridge Brewing Company in Boston. The beer has been flavoured with hand picked heather, lavender and yarrow, which yields an almost seductive aroma. The flavour is light with a slight tartness and no bitterness whatsoever.
VårSaison – is a light couloured beer – 6,5 % vol. – with a spicy, floral and aromatic scent with a slight earthy hint. The flavour is dry, bitter and refreshingly tart with a complex fruitiness. A long, tart and spicy flavour finishes this lively beer experience.
Furesø Framboise – A filtered Belgian wheat beer with 5.3% ABV, added raspberries in the last days of the brewing process. With a low level of sugar and high acidity this beer comes across as dry and bubbly fresh. Light pink in colour and with a distinct aroma and taste of raspberries it is a winner for the more sensitive mouths.
